What is Astrology?

The information on this page comes from what has been guided to me by my own higher self, and also comes from my own experience with doing mundane and personal readings. I do not have all the answers and will likely continue to be guided and experience more and more as time goes on. As I learn more I will update this page and share my knowledge and experience here. I am saying this because a lot of what might be on this page is likely to differ in many ways from what you might hear from mainstream astrology. I always go by my own guidance from my higher self and I hope this can help to clear any misunderstandings, misinformation and false interpretations and understandings that may exist in this field. Again, I don’t know everything and will continue to learn as I go but I hope this can at least be of some help or a form of clarity.   

  

Astrology, as I have been guided, is an energetic template. The planets are simply a physical interpretation and understanding of the effects of pre-existing universal energy/cycles as it exists within a larger system. They also produce a 'wake' or an effect within these energy fields causing a distortion or disruption which then in turn augments the effects of said energies or energetic fields within the environment therein, our solar system. The same exists on earth as things in our environment, including us, affect the environment and people around us thus affecting the overall system. Their placement in spacetime causing the displacement disrupts or modulates the energy in certain ways to affect it. This energy is already pre-existing whether the planets are here or not. We are just in the same environment and therefore are affected by the environment, and as such are affected by these energies and their 'modulated' affects from the greater environment (the universe at large) in the same way. However, despite this we also have creative control over its affects both physically and non-physically. This is the same way in which we have control over things or others that may affect us in our own environment, which can invite creative solutions or actions to fix something or cause something to occur. This is why it is how these energies/energy fields, astrology, is used. It doesn't happen to you. It is there, yes, but we have creative control both physically and non-physically on how we are going to use these energies or how we are going to take action or control that which is in our environment. We do not have to be inherently bound by it. So it is not the planets themselves that astrology is really based on, the energies or energetic field is already there, the planets disrupt it but regardless of what they do those energies are there, they just cause certain types of distortion or effect to a pre-existing energy field. This would be different for each solar system or any other type of system. However the overlying energies are still there. Despite how it gets distorted or how it gets represented, etc, we still have creative use over them regardless.

My guidance is the 360 degree circle (chart) and 30 degree signs (further broken into 10 degree decans) along with their energetic themes are based more on a fundamental understanding of universal concepts and functions shown through geometry and mathematics. The displacement or wake caused by the planets affects the system they are in through their location in space time and they then become part of it, which is why we have planetary rulers, etc. Because they are affected by and also in turn affect the energy as they become part of the system. If something is added or removed, the system adapts but still contains the twelve basic signs or energies expressed in some unique or creative way. A basic example is: imagine a corporate office structure with the standard departments of HR, PR, accounting, R&D, etc. Now let's say due to budget cuts the entire HR department is gone,  well those roles need to go somewhere. In this case we can say that one or two people from the other departments then handle HR duties for their respective departments creating more of a decentralized system instead of a centralized one. However, keep in mind those duties, or if we relate it to astrology, those energies/themes/concepts didn't just disappear they just moved or became 'ruled' by something/someone else due to a change in the overall structure of the system/environment.

Astrology is then in essence a mathematical interpretation and understanding of the natural cycles that exist around us on earth, in our solar system, and the greater cycles of our galaxy and the universe at large. Astrology is simply one means of viewing and interpreting its effects on the physical environment at large. Through this we have created a system that not only visually(to an extent) but moreso mathematically helps us to understand this.

 

  

As I have said astrology is the geometrical and mathematical interpretation of natural universal frequencies and cycles that relate to the more broader frequencies and cycles of the universe at large.   

  

Modern western astrology is calculated using the start of the cycle of the earth in its orbit around the sun which we determine as the spring equinox or when the sun enters into Aries. This is a specific point in this cycle that can be scientifically determined and calculated, just like the fall equinox and the summer and winter solstice’s. These are things we learned about in school. All the other positions are calculated based on this, from the vantage point of the earth. If you were born on Mars you would have to do astrology differently and calculate the cycles based off of Mars’ orbit around the sun. Because we are on earth that is why we use the earths natural cycle. Our location in spacetime matters as that part of the environment or system can be affected in a different way than another part. Just like how there can be tropical weather at the equator but freezing temperatures at the poles all at the same point in linear time.  

  

Contrary to popular belief, astrology is not about the constellations, not at all in fact. It is about the mathematical and geometrical positions within the 360 degrees of the chart. The constellations, as per my guidance, were simply at one point a visual representation of what we saw from earth. That however changes visually over time, but not mathematically.   

  

Each sign is made up of 30 degrees. Each constellation that we know of in the zodiac represents a 30 degree segment, however each constellation when viewed from earth is not at all equal to a 30 degree slice of the sky. In fact some constellations don’t even make sense in terms of the qualities of the sign. For example: Aquarius, the water bearer. Aquarius is an air sign not a water sign and has absolutely nothing to do with ‘bearing water’. Now this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t call it Aquarius, it’s just that at the time of conception that constellation was likely the most prominent one in that location in the sky. However, it’s not about the constellation, it’s about the 30 degrees at which that portion exists in and the energetic themes that exist or come into play when that section of the cycle is reached. It’s about the mathematical calculation, the effects of the cycle as it relates mathematically and geometrically in how that cycle behaves. It is not because of what we see in the sky; that was just to make it easier to visualize and represent outside of the mathematical and geometrical functions.   

  

This is why Vedic (Sidereal) astrology, through what I have been told via my own higher self, is simply not accurate. The earth has a wobble known as the precession of the earth, which causes our view of the sky and the constellations to drift over time. However, this drift is what we visually perceive due to the wobble but the earth itself does not actually move from its position in its orbit around the sun, it only adjusts it's tilt slightly via the wobble. Remember what I said about how modern western astrology is calculated based on earths orbit starting at the spring equinox? That’s because we are mapping the cycles mathematically and geometrically based on the earths position in it's orbit, not whether or not it's tilted in said orbit. What we see visually is an illusion because of a slight tilt, not an orbital change. Also remember what I said above, it's not about the visuals as the visual signs already don't even line up exact in the 30 degree sections, its about our place within an energetic system. We can then get more specific in a chart using a house system like placidus, which takes into account your position on the earth at a specific time. Remember, your position in space-time is what matters here to determine the effects of the system at that specific point in space and time.

  

My higher self’s guidance is in fact to use placidus as the house system due to it's accuracy and it's utilization of time, because as I said before it's about our position in spacetime. Placidus properly shows the effects of the energy based on your more precise position in space-time in regards to your location on the planet. If you were to picture the earth then slice a line through it at the equator then keep slicing through it in parallel all the way to the north pole, you notice that each slice gets smaller and smaller until you reach the pole. At the equator, where the houses are more equal in a chart, is where you travel the most distance, it's the largest slice. The more distance you move in spacetime on the planet the more variety you have in energetic influence due to the larger difference in position within spacetime. The further up you go the smaller the slices get and in a chart some houses get very big, bigger than 30 degrees and some get a lot smaller. You have less variety in energetic influence as you now have very large houses with more of an influence versus the small ones which now have less. This is because you have less of a difference in your movement in spacetime on that slice. Then as you proceed close to the poles, placidus falls off altogether. Currently a lot of people think this is a fault of placidus, it is not. It's actually working as it is supposed to. At the poles your variability in distance as the earth rotates with the smaller slice is minimal, so there is less of a fluctuation of the energetic influence. Since you are not shifting as much you get the same energetic influence. Whereas at the equator you shift more, the full circumference of the earth in one rotation, and therefore have different affects at different areas of the system at different times. It all comes down to your position within spacetime as it is your position in the energetic system and the specific effects of the energies where you are. My guidance is when placidus falls off at the poles, you do not use a house system at all. You only read the chart without it, since the affects on that point in the system are less variable as I described above.

My further guidance on the house system is that it is a fine tuning dial, something that you can use to tune in more specifically to what you want. Each house represents the energy of the sign it corresponds to, for example first house carries the energy or vibe of Aries but is not Aries, second house carries the energy and vibe of Taurus but is not Taurus, etc. The traditional meanings of the houses do not apply. They were attempting to derive meanings using a primitive and misguided form of interpretation at the time. The guidance I received about the fine tuning is why each house represents the energy of a sign. It allows you to add in or shift the energy in places where you want it. This is why your location in spacetime matters and the affects of the system can be different at different points within spacetime. Along with the houses representing also the energies of the signs, the same goes with the planetary rulers, they still only carry the same energy and themes of the sign as they inherited them based on their displacement effect on the system that they are in. In fact it basically just comes down to the twelve principles (Signs), their themes and what they represent along with the unique combination of them (different planets, signs, houses, aspects, etc.) that cause differences(distortions or modulations) in the energy. We can also use these creatively based on their unique combinations or basic inherent qualities to manifest and create what we desire at any given time or at specific times where they are more conducive to doing so. Remember, we have control.   

  

  

  

This is the part that most people either miss out on or ignore completely. If astrology is what moves us then why do we have free will, or even how can we have free will if everything is predetermined? Well that’s because everything is not predetermined, at least not in the way we think or have been taught. You create your own destiny. Something that was meant to be was that way because you made it that way and previously decided that is what you wanted, even if that decision was made before you incarnated here. That is how powerful you actually are as the true being that you are. Other people can also inflict control as well but remember that you are powerful enough to change it and having healthy boundaries comes into play here, as well as respecting each others individuality and uniqueness and allowing people to live how they want instead of attempting to inflict unwanted control.   

The universe operates on frequency and vibration. These background energies/cycles have frequency and vibration which can be mixed together, altered, distorted, etc, based on placement within the system (location in spacetime) relative to other objects/effects. This relates to the concepts of aspects, placements within signs, houses, etc. This is the mathematical affect of these in being within a certain environment or system. These energies however are generic and carry certain themes which in turn can be used in creative ways based on their combination and direct location within spacetime to manifest or create specific things, scenarios or situations using specific intent towards these energies in order to do so. Therefore, having that intent act on specific portions or themes existent within that energy causing a certain affect or 'attraction' (manifestation) as the general frequency is then modulated based on intent creating a more precise version of that frequency which then attracts (manifests) the same through that intent within the system. That is how this works, and that is the creative use of this energy.

  

This is why I am guided that astrology is an energetic template conducive to certain things, like a math formula with variables where we get to determine what we put into those variables in order to change the output of the equation. Yes, the energetic cycles do exist, yes they carry certain themes and yes things play out in terms of those energies and themes. But it is how we use them. Remember, the universe is infinitely creative and if you want something to come through within a specific energy there is likely a creative way to do it. This is why whenever you ask for guidance on something you don’t always get the answer in the way you expect it, due to this creative flow and working with these natural cycles. This is also why the house system is important as it allows you to apply an extra layer of fine tuning to get what you want. This can exist in transits too as the houses shift and cycle through the day every day, which is part of why divine timing can in fact be a thing. It’s not just about waiting for the right time but it can also be allowing yourself to see the path come through in a creative way that you otherwise would not have seen if what you want needs to come right now.   

  

Before you incarnated here you made a choice in choosing the character you are playing right now in this game of life. In order to play that character you needed to come at a time when the natural cycles were conducive to creating that, hence your birth chart. Now, this can also mean that you might not actually have a purpose for some parts of your chart, or they could mean something completely different than what you think because you were using that energy creatively in creating the person you wanted to become and play in this lifetime and to have the experiences you wanted to experience.   

  

This is why I do astrology intuitively and get guidance via my own higher self. My higher self is able to guide me with why certain cycles were chosen and also what parts of the chart may not even be used by the person it belongs to because they were using the timing for other things. This is also why I am guided to not do simple sun sign astrology as for some people their sun is irrelevant or may not be as prominent as they think or they need to take into account the house, ruler and aspects as those play a larger role than the sign itself. This is something that cannot be oversimplified. Astrology is a complex form of math and geometry representing the natural cycles. It is how we use those cycles that matter and how we create and navigate within them and how they can help shape our experiences. It is also how we ourselves can creatively use these cycles to shape and create our own experiences and take control in unique and creative ways to create the life that we want no matter what is happening in the sky.
